ERGaR at the Gasnam annual Summit (10-11/04/2019, Madrid, ES)

Madrid, April 2019 – Gasnam annual Summit under the topic of “Renewable and natural gas: Innovation for sustainable mobility” will have more than 25 seminars and once again, it will host national and international speakers.

Gasnam annual summit has become a benchmark event about all the advances on the use of natural gas and renewable gas as a sustainable fuel for road and maritime transport, as well as the latest models of the vehicles that use it. It is a great event that brings together companies and administrations committed to the development of this fuel to achieve decarbonization of transport and guarantee air quality.

This year the event will be held in Madrid on April 10th and 11th of 2019, under the theme “Renewable and natural gas: Innovation for sustainable mobility”. More than 50 national and international speakers will talk, for a day and a half, about the challenges of mobility with natural and renewable gas in Spain and Europe and the keys to the energy transition.

The seventh edition of the Congress of Gasnam will focus on renewable gas as fuel: biomethane produced by the capture of emissions from urban waste, wastewater, agricultural waste, livestock and forestry, and hydrogen generated from surplus electricity renewable. A fuel with zero CO2 emissions that appears as a clear ally for the decarbonisation of transport and also contributes to the circular economy model.

Confirmed speakers include the President of Madrid, Ángel Garrido, the Secretary of State for Energy, José Domínguez Abascal, the MEP and rapporteur of the Renewable Energy Directive, José Blanco and representatives from different European associations: Attila Kovacs from European Renewable Gas Registry, Andrea Gerini, Secretary General of NGVA Europe, Steve Esau, General Manager of SEA-LNG and David Newman, President of World Biogas Association.

In the maritime field, we will have the participation of the General Director of the Spanish Maritime Authority, Benito Núñez, the representative of Spain before the International Maritime Organization, Andrés Galván, as well as different representatives of the Spanish Port Authorities.

Additionally, the summit will have a large indoor and outdoor exhibition that will house vehicles, equipment and natural gas engines.
