ERGaR has joined the Renewable and Low-Carbon Fuels Value Chain Industrial Alliance (RLCF Alliance), supported by the European Commission.
The Alliance brings together stakeholders from across the fuels value chain to accelerate the production, deployment and uptake of renewable and low-carbon fuels, with a particular focus on the aviation and maritime sectors.
For ERGaR, participation in the Alliance provides an opportunity to contribute its experience in renewable gas certification, cross-border trade and cooperation between market participants. As renewable gases gain a stronger role in the decarbonisation of transport, clear and workable certification frameworks will be essential to support market development and ensure that renewable fuels can be traded efficiently across Europe.
ERGaR’s participation will focus on:
- Promoting the role of renewable gases in the decarbonisation of the European maritime and aviation sectors
- Contributing to relevant task forces and technical discussions within the Alliance
- Sharing expertise on certification and cross-border renewable gas trade
- Strengthening cooperation across the renewable and low-carbon fuels value chain
Through the Alliance, ERGaR will also contribute to discussions linked to the implementation of ReFuelEU Aviation and FuelEU Maritime, two important frameworks shaping demand for renewable and low-carbon fuels in Europe.
By working together with other Alliance members, ERGaR aims to support the development of a credible, efficient and increasingly integrated European renewable gas market, while ensuring that certification remains a practical enabler of market growth.
