Brussels, January 2026
To strengthen participation in Europe’s renewable gas market, ERGaR has introduced a new annual membership fee of €1,000 for micro-enterprises (fewer than 10 employees). This targeted tier makes it easier for smaller companies to engage with certification, market design, and policy developments shaping the biomethane and wider renewable gas ecosystem.
Small companies—technology developers, service providers, aggregators, and early-stage market entrants—play a vital role in scaling renewable gases. By reducing the cost of entry, ERGaR aims to broaden representation across the value chain while maintaining robust governance and high technical standards.
Who is eligible
- Micro-enterprises with <10 employees (as defined above).
- Entities active—or seeking to become active—in renewable gas production, certification, trading, tracking, or related services.
What members gain
- Regulatory and market insight: Stay current on developments related to certification and the trading of renewable gases (including biomethane).
- A voice in policy and standards: Contribute to ERGaR’s positions that inform legislation, rules, and standards at EU level.
- Network access: Connect with registries and market actors involved in biomethane certificate trading and associated services.
- Early access to data: Receive early access to ERGaR statistics and analytical outputs.
