4th European Biomethane Conference

Dublin, September 2018 – The European Biomethane Conference offers a platform to discuss new trends and perspectives on biomethane and renewable gases in Europe. The previous three editions of the annual conference took place in Berlin and each attracted around 150 participants from more than 15 countries. This year the EBC will be hosted in Dublin on the 20th September 2018.

The European Renewable Gas Registry submitted application to European Commission

Brussels, 15 December 2017 –  The European Renewable Gas Registry members proudly announced today that the application of the ERGaR RED scheme has been submitted to the European Commission to be recognized as a voluntary scheme under the Renewable Energy Directive 2009/28/EC. EBA, GIE and ERGaR explore the opportunities of Power-to-Methane for Europe.

BRUSSELS, 08 September 2017 – A joint workshop tackles technical and regulatory aspects with the objective of large scale deployment of Power-to-Methane technology. The European Biogas Association (EBA) in joint cooperation with Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) and the European Renewable Gas Registry (ERGaR) hosted in Brussels their first workshop dedicated to Power-to-Methane technology on 06 September 2017. The event showcased the latest technological developments around Europe and formalised the launch of a common vision of the three organisers, with the commitment to move forward towards a renewable and integrated European gas grid.

First ERGaR – GIE – CEDEC biomethane workshop held successfully in Brussels.

BRUSSELS, 12 April 2017 – the European Renewable Gas Registry (ERGaR) in joint cooperation with Gas infrastructure Europe (GIE) and the European Federation of Local Energy Companies (CEDEC) hosted in Brussels a workshop dedicated to biomethane in the natural gas network on 5 April 2017. The event was the first opportunity to introduce ERGaR to stakeholders operating in the field, as well as to present the results of initial months of joint effort while anticipating the next steps of the association.
